y'all should think about Bluff Creek Ranch. Good amenities (e.g. bathrooms), great people, and a pond with a ramp to jump bikes into.

Its just getting cool in October
The campground is closed, but the trail is open - best time to ride the trail; quiet, empty park - no vehicular traffic past the first road crossing

    I like this idea

I agree with Bluff Creek. RHR is nice but the camping isn't so great. I'm going to put a fall mojo event on my calendar for Oct 10th weekend at Bluff Creek. If anyone wants to join me feel free. I'll check with Damon and make sure there isn't a run or equestrian event there that weekend.

Trails at Bluff Creek are fun, but short (maybe a 6 mile loop?). The first half is tight but flowy through trees, the 2nd half is ups and downs with a couple of short, killer climbs. Maybe not so killer if not racing.

Rocky Hill isn't that far away (maybe 10-15 min drive) for 20+ miles of trail. You could easily ride both places in a weekend.

Or in a day. A few springs ago I picked up a friend from Hawaii, drove from Temple to the Houston airport, went to BCR and rented a bike, drove to and rode rockyhill, lunch in lagrange, drove to and rode warda, turned bike in, drove back to Houston, drove back to Temple.

It was like a 24 hour day! lol.
