I plan on taking my family so I was wondering if there are showers there? Also, I've never been there, is this a nice place for families?

no showers unless you call the hose and tarp set up a shower. It's not bad. It's not a great place for non riding family members unless they like to drink a lot.

Often....I find myself asking myself what I have learned from the journey....We are lucky to be here, on this beautiful planet. We are lucky to have the short amount of time that we are granted. And we are lucky that our beautiful planet hasn't killed us (yet).

On May 14th 2004, the Ant Hills Philosopher from Team Smack rode from Houston to Boerne, in one day. I saw him in Shiner, Texas at about 10-11AM that morning and again riding on Hwy 46 later that afternoon and then at Tapatio Spring in Boerne the next morning.

Boerne is a bit further than Canyon Lake so yes, this Houston to Canyon Lake feat is really nothing... someone has already gone to 11.
