Jesus is always in the temple of Mojo. We will give thanks and in humble remembrance we will eat and drink.

What passage of Scripture for the Bible study?

Which is worse, the drink, or the judgment?

The only difference between a flower and a weed is a judgment.

Welcome Mojofest 2009, relax after that ride, have a drink and laugh.

Toobin' is pre-registration only this year.

    Here is the link:
    http://www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=8595

Andy's River Toobs (the the official Mojofest Toobin' outfitter) indicated that they can accommodate up to 80 people so there is a field limit in place. If you want a spot, don't procrastinate in signing up. NOTE: there are no refunds. You can sell/transfer your toobin' slot to someone else if you end up not being able to make it.

The Time Trial race pre-registration is also up. This will be a "shine only" event. If the trail conditions are not suitable for riding on Saturday, we will not be racing and you will be issued a full refund on your entry. If you sign up for the Toobin' option in addition to the TT race, you will not get a refund on the Toobin' portion as that event will happen rain or shine.

All of the Texas Mountain Bike Time Trial State Regional Divisional Finals Race Participants will also be eligible to take part in the “Rubber Shark Roundup”.

What is the “Rubber Shark Roundup”?
The “Rubber Shark Roundup” is an fun trail ride where you will hunt for Rubber Sharks.
These sharks will be located at various spots throughout the trail and it’s your duty and privilege to find one (and only one) and bring it back to the Mojofest Headquarters pavilion and turn it in for a “Prize”. Prizes for finding a rubber shark may be cash or it may be schwag.

When will this event be held?
Immediately upon the conclusion of the Time Trial Race

Where will this event be held?
The Category 3 12/10 and under section (2nd road crossing to the Mojofest Pavillion, roughly 3.4 km total)

As a guy who has been the "wrangler of the gin-bucket consumers" in years past and who has signed up for that duty again, it's gonna make my life significantly easier. Which is nice.

Do your rubber sharks need some rubber chickens to eat?

It won't be marked until Friday evening, June 19th. In the meantime, here is a description which will hopefully get you there. I'll be riding out there several times between now and then and will post up in case folks want to see it/ride it in a more definitive manner.

The 6.somethink kilometer Time Trial course starts at the first road crossing on a section of trail known as The Flying Cactus (named for cactus that can be seen growing in various oak trees along that section of trail). It then heads over to Uncle Rico's Pass, Moonscape, bypassing the Boatramp Section (you can try to ride that section later if you'd like), cross the 2nd road crossing (start of the 12/10 and under course) through the IMBA section and finishing at the Mojofest Headquarters pavilion. There is not a significant amount of elevation change. There are several challenging rock gardens that will test your technical riding skills.

NOTE 1) bypassing the boatramp section, after you get out of the section of trail known as Moonscape, the view opens up to the lake on the left and you'll see the old retired boatramp concrete pad on the right. You'll see some logs blocking what used to be the route that will take you to the road crossing.

NOTE 2) finding the the Mojofest Headquarters Pavillion from the trail. Look for the brown brick outhouse/restroom building on the right from the trail. If you get to the third road crossing, you've gone too far.

NOTE 3) Yes, "somethink" does look to be spelled incorrectly in the course description.
