    MacTuedays

Nope, not Tuesdays with Morrie, Ruby Tuesday, Fat Tuesday, Patch Tuesday, Super Tuesday or even Tuesday's Child.

    Mac-Tuesday!

    McAllister Park, 3rd Pavilion.
    Arrive 6:30PM, wheels down 6:45.

Fast paced, slow paced or anything in between. Quick and twisty or off-camber crawling. This place has a little bit of both. If it's too easy, go faster!

You'll probably want to bring some mosquito spray.

    another regular mac group

there has been a large group of older riders, anywhere from 4-10 of them.. anywhere from 40something to late 60s. ... ( dont let the age fool you, they are plenty fast ) scott spark, pivots, ellsworth, that meet up at another pavillion every tues and thurs. usually breaks into 2 groups, one fast, one slow.

some say... they have been a group of ex-roadies that has been biking together for 20+ years, they switched to mtb from road for ............ reasons.

they meet up tues / thurs at 4:30, they may be switching to 5:00 Pm, i know today some of them will be meeting up at 5:00 and some at 4:30 . at least a few in at each time.
at one point back a couple months ago when most of them didnt have lights, they had rolled back meet time to 4pm. but lately,.. its mostly 430. i know eventually back to 5.
the pavillion this group meets at is when you first go in the main entrance, then make the first right turn, then go all the way down to the end.. there is a gate, a bathroom, a gazebo and not much else.. an area that washes out to the right of a small dead end parking area. i dont know the exact name for this place at Mac.

anyways.. i told them about the site.. ( like five times ) but they are older dudes, I think most of them are not really heavily into the net.

Bob: Lights shouldn't be neccesary as the Sun doesn't go down till 8pm-ish.

Good ride everyone! How'd the rest of it go for those of you with lights?

Nice to meet you Tammie, thanks for coming out and riding with us slow people.

    Thumbs up

    Good ride everyone.

George, Bob and I finished up just after 9. Then chatted it up for a while. We have some thoughts to hopefully run abit smoother in the future. I know I'm still back in as long as work doesn't run long. Break it into sections then regroup as needed.

I wrapped up with 24.5 miles after starting at 5:30. Lots of starts and stops.

Nice to meet with the few that were new to me (Tammie, Jeremy, Bob, Bart); nice to actually ride with you George; and of course Will.

What an excellent night to be out on the bike.... it's been too long since I've ridden, I'm embarassed at my current level of fitness, and I'm grateful for such great folks to ride with... thanks for the motivation. George, thank you for calling and leading. Your Erikson is sick!

Bart, Bobby, Ryan, and Tammie, nice to meet you. Hope to ride with you again soon.

Will, Jeremy, George, great to see you guys after such a long hiatus. I'm going to try to get out once or twice a week now that I'll be back in SA on a regular basis.

Yep, it was a great night to be out on the bike. THANKS to everyone who joined us and especially those who took a turn at the front leading. Fun pace on all kinds of terrain throughout the entire park. The night riding was an added bonus!

Me theenks we're going to have to host a Chillin' & Grillin' in conjunction with the ride. More details to come soon.

Good to hear the Tuesday nighter is attempting a comeback! I remember back when this ride attracted 50 or so riders every week.

You're reading my mind on the G/C comeback. I smoked a 6lb pork shoulder yesterday to blow the cobwebs out of the smoker. There should be enough pulled pork for sangwiches tomorrow night.

Bring your plain white cup if you plan on having a cold frothy beverage...

I'm in, hopefully I don't have to work to late. I'm motivated to roll quick after yesterday. But I might bring the Cross-Check also.
