Yeah the spam. I've been trying to ride a little. Been getting about 40 or 50 miles in a week, if you don't count last week didn't ride any. You're already hoping for the weekend on Tuesday? It's gonna be a long week for you. Today started my weekend. :-)

Not going to the beach. It was my short week at work. Got a short ride in on Thurs, another short ride in today and maybe a long ride tomorrow.

oh never mind then (the beach). cool, sounds like you're getting some riding in then

planning on doing the Bicycle Sport Shop ride tomorrow...new store...riding there about 5/6 miles then to Andice and back (50 miles) then back home...i'm thinking 60ish miles...i NEED a long ride...only rode 30 last weekend...still a good ride w/ plenty of hills but too short.

Didn't get any riding in today. Had work to do that I was trying to get done before it got 100 degrees. But I'm hopeful for next week. I think the rain has stopped for a little while.

8am? I usually don't start my rides 'til after that. Trying to get acclimated to the heat, HHH is right around the corner.
I even went for a ride at 6pm tonight

yeah 8 am even some rides at 7:30...it's nice getting done early. 6 pm isn't so bad...really hot and humid but still not too bad. ok i guess i say 8 am with riding road but trails *maybe* different...if the trail has shade, lots of trees, NOT reimer's but maybe rocky hill.

when's HHH? going for the century? looking for a century to do soon...last one was Shiner few months ago....

The last time I was on my mtbike was over a month ago at waco. It's alot easier to just ride from the front door. That way I still have the rest of the day to do something.
HHH is August 28th. I'm sure there's plenty of people that you could catch a ride with. I Plan on doing the 100k. Did the 100mile a few times and the 100k is much more fun. Plus I'll be on my fixed gear.

i understand...it is a lot easier leaving from your house...haven't been mt biking much...i did ride my mt bike today though but on the road...was very cool...i road up two big hills that i ride on my road bike...mt bonnell and scenic...you probably don't know them but...it was a great challenge and fun! planning on doing more of that...not interested in HHH this yr...did it in 2008 i think...great ride...doesn't the 100 have beer at mile 90/95 or something? the 100k is a great ride too...have fun!

Yes there is beer at about mile 95 or so. The only problem with the 100mile ride is that almost everyone is trying to prove something. Either improve their time or prove that they can do it. And unless you want to ride when it's hot you have to go. The other ride is more relaxed, you can enjoy it. And there's a bar not to far before the finish.

yeah i understand...i don't think there's anything wrong with riders who want to challenge themselves, improve their time and or prove that they can do it...i've done both...a few centuries...it's a cool accomplishment.

the metric century is cool too...yeah out of the heat a lot sooner (and seems to be it will be REALLY hot this yr, definitely justifying the name of the ride....hotter n' hell i did the metric century a couple of yrs ago...it was nice. haha a bar before the finish, nice!

Up here in Sherman at Austin College. Wound around thru farm roads and down to van alstyne then back to A.C. Some pretty good country roads. It will be one of my routes now.

Yeah, farm roads are interesting. I saw a few funny things. There was a cow munching on someones grass or flowers right by the front door. And a dog that was freaked out by it. When the dog saw me I guess it was all it could handle, it took off running in the opposite direction. Then there was an english bulldog that was huge trying to chase after me. It kind of waddled, it was pretty funny. But beautiful countryside, some nice hills and friendly drivers.
