    Permissable Hardware

Tried sending this as an email, but it bounced, so forgive the "broadcast".
I am an old coot (70) with no balance (inner ear destroyed), so I have a 3 wheel recumbent. I also have a 10 year old and an 11 yr old who both have single speed bikes (but easily whip Pop with his 21 spd trike).
Are these types of conveyance permissable for the club tours? If so, what is required to join?

    Bigwindy,
Hi. Although I have never ridden with the roadies, I do know there aren't any "requirements" to join the group. Pretty much you show up at the designated meeting point for the ride. I'm not sure how fast the group rides so be cautious about that. I think they ride faster than recumbent riders usually ride but they me be able to accommodate you on a no-drop ride. I think you ought to just show up at the start of a ride and ask some of the group the questions you have. Good luck to you.

    C'mon,

Roadie guys, answer the old coot! Don't give him the cold shoulder. Just maybe, one of you readers knows of a group of, lets say, "more experienced" riders he can join. I applaud the fact that he's out there...trying. By now he's probably given up since no feedback was given. Even my lame reply took three weeks to be posted.

    try contacting the club at:
    bellcountybikeclub@gmail.com

when i went on the occasional Sunday 130 PM road ride, with a route from the bell county expo to salado and return, with them, there was onoccasion an older gentleman named Elwood that rode a recumbent. perhaps he still rides and you could ride with him.
