    More BLORA trail reroutes

In case anyone cares ... I suppose all the work they did out at BLORA earlier in the year did not meet the approval of the powers.

Shortly after the little initial climb of the new segment right before you headed down toward the wooden stunts--all is gone....blocked off by new signs all in huge red letters that say entering live archery target area: danger. The trail is now rerouted practically straight up-hill and comes out even past off the lip ! Comes out by that RV one can always see by the fence line. Yup gone are 90% of the new stuff they built ( wooden stunts and nice rock and wood bridges switchbacking to hook up with the old climb-gone... obviously the new red advanced section looping off all this is gone) and also gone are devils backbone, the whoops area, the old jeep road looking thing, the ENTIRE old climb---all history. It is now a way dumbed down 7.5 mile intermediate loop rather than the 8.6 that it used to be after the earlier bout of hard work.

And still the rutted areas on the existing trail are NOT fixed.

Only one good thing about this---since the final climb is not nearly as exhausting, it is now within the realm of possibilities to knock out two laps.

Anyway it was a gorgeous mid 80s afternoon.

Gotta agree with you on the BLORA trail reroutes, I tried riding out there and after finding trail signs down and the overall condition in pretty poor shape, Dana Peak gets my vote as far as trail riding and upkeep goes.

Not too surprising. The trails don't generate revenue. Their new archery range or whatever probably does.

A simple solution is to get as many people with bikes to show up at BLORA MTB on a Saturday. Sort of a MTB Flash Mob overloadwith good intentions The only way to keep it open and on a front burner is to be visible. A 10 am rally time seems best to give
enough time for folks to get the am stuff sorted out. but which Sat is up to the masses.

i personally like BLORA better BUT not to say i didn't like it (Dana Peak). loco, wumpus and i didn't ride the entire trail so maybe i'll change my mind next time we do we rode BLORA 1st and then Dana Peak (got in 20 miles which is awesome!) so i for one was pretty beat. it was a fun day.

That totally sucks. I'm very disappointed, but BLORA really doesn't get the traffic it deserved. It's kinda out of the way and if you're not military, $3 for the trail and another $8 to enjoy the lake makes it not so inviting I suppose.
