Reveille Peak Bike Festival 2015
This will be a family friendly event where participants of all ages and different skill level are welcome. Group rides, bicycle demos, cross country skills clinics led by regional elite riders, pump track skills clinics, a 50k Gran Fondo or 25k Medio Fondo (Sat morning), bike games, rides and clinics for children 12 and under, and more will be available to participants. The ranch also has kayaks, stand up paddle boards (SUPs), fishing, a Nature Center, and a climbing wall/repel tower. This year's event will also include a 5k & 15k trail run on Saturday night, and a gravel grinder on Sunday. For those who prefer road biking, there is a 100-mile paved loop beginning at the Ranch to explore on your own.
DESCRIPTION:
The second year of the Reveille Peak Bike Festival will be held March 20-22, 2015. We expect to draw participants from across Texas to the centrally located Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, TX.
This is an extraordinary venue. Reveille Peak Ranch offers over 62 miles of trail with something for every skill level: single track, super D, pump track, and a flow track. As an added bonus, the trails are open rain or shine. We are looking to attract national vendors to grow this festival to include all cycling disciplines in future years.
The Ranch has on-site camping (RV hook ups with water and electricity and over 250 primitive camping sites), men’s and women’s restrooms with showers, a spring-fed lake, parking to accommodate more than 4,000 cars, a repel tower with climbing wall, an educational Nature Center, and a commercial kitchen with pizza oven. The Ranch is easily accessed from TX-29, with restaurants and hotels nearby.
