Maybe Sunday weather dependent.
Tentatively Sunday then.
Hey u hear? The words out--one of the last weekends in May10--Lance has applied to USAcycling for another race at his ranch--and this time it will be on the national calendar. Instead of a few big name racers, there'll be quite a few. I think details are on the mellow classic websirte.
(Quote from Team Army Facebook)The Sunday Morning Ride will roll from the III Corps Shoppette parking lot at 0830. The standard route for this ride is the Old Ironsides-Hell On Wheels loop for 2 or 3 laps. Jorge and Jorge currently plan to ride East Range Road up to the Cowhouse Bridge and back so there is an alternate route for tomorrow. Bill C.
Pete you interested? If not, then we can do another route somewhere else. Just let me know.
sorry so long to reply--I'll have to pass again on 2morrow. Sally took ill with a kidney stone early this afternoon, but complicating the manner is she suffered a brain event (near term memory loss---that has improved finally tonight) with it as well--they (Darnall neurologist and chief internal medicine) dont think it was a stroke..but could be onset of MS or who knows..spent the day/evening at the ER. She will be in til probably at least Monday as they want to redo the MRI and possibly do a lumbar probe also.
Wow Pete, I'm so sorry to hear that.My prayers to out to Sally that she comes through this ok.
Sorry to hear about that Pete. Our prayers are with you and your family. Hope all goes well for Sally.
Just Ride!
Hey Pete, really sorry to hear about your wife. Give her my best and I hope things turn out okay.
Thanks all. She had some nausea/bile from the kidney stone this evening. Meanwhile the neurodoc came by again and said it should be a busy day of tests tomorrow for her because looking at the original MRI he still thinks it's somewhere between a 40 and 80% chance it's MS...I don't really think there's much treatment for that but some pills... if that's what it is from what I know it effects different people different ways and I gather there's severe bouts once or twice a year.
Well after the attending doc and the neurodoc argued for a while today, they did the other two tests. She says they were negative. Anyway she feels better except the stone of course so they're discharging her. No telling what caused that bout of memory loss Saturday. Anyway thanks for everyones concern abt her.
Now I hope soon it's time to ride again. It seems lke 2 or 3 weeks since I've biked--maybe it has!
Hey, glad to hear that Pete.
Did a quick 20 mile loop this past Sunday with Team Army on Hood. It was good, but I would like a change of scenery from Post.
Pete, lets shoot for around noon on that ride. Too damn cold this morning. I have to head to Cove this morning so I will give you a call. Oh, I believe Tracy's older son is heading out there with us.
Tuesday afternoon ride for those that are available. Leaving the Peloton Ridge Country Club in HH at 3:30. Google it for location. Ride will be 25-30 miles. Mike S
I will be there if I'm not too worn out from my mtn bike ride in the morning.![]()
Nice ride today with Mike S. and Gregg. 20 miles at 18.5 avg speed.
Team Army Fort Hood There are 2 rides scheduled by Team Roadkill in Copperas Cove this Saturday. Both are weather permitting, they aren't riding in the rain. Bill C.Yesterday at 8:39pm ˇ Comment ˇLikeUnlike ˇ View Feedback (3)Hide Feedback (3)
Team Army Fort Hood if you're planning on actually riding in the Jan. 23 race, you'll
probably want to ride with Jorge The Elder Saturday morning. Weather permitting, Jorge will leave the Copperas Cove Civic Center at 8:00 to do the 53-mile Cove Classic race course loop. He says the pace won't be fast, but will be steady. Bill C.
Yesterday at 8:40pm ˇ ReportTeam Army Fort Hood For those of you who aren't racers, and who want something else, Bill Crain will lead a Maxdale Road Loop ride out of the South Park pool parking lot in Copperas Cove at 9:00. The route is a little more than 40 miles long, and features some fairly challenging climbs. Pre-ride coffee is on your own.
Both of these rides are weather permitting. Neither Jorge nor I will be riding in the rain Bill C.
