okie dokie...seems there's a few spots to jump. i propose a thread dedicated to listing those spots so we don't have to dig though posts to find them...make it easy for the new comers to find them, and such, too. and if they're secret...umm...tell us anyway, 'cause we're all one big happy family.
my contribution:
9th Street - head S on Lamar, turn L on 9th...can't miss them.
Tru - we'll show you

Yeah, hush hush if hush hush, otherwise, post away.
Leander : 853 has directions.
CapCity BMX : Somewhere off 620. Full-on BMX track.
Elena's Backyard : Coming soon. A little booze and some other stuff may have to play a role here :D
TRU : wink wink.
I went out to Cedar Park, but could not find the jumps that were posted. I was fighting daylight and didn't have my bike, so maybe next time.

so i thought it would be helpful to have a brief description to go with the other details for each spot...
9th Street: these are trails built by and built for 20" bikes. generally, the locals do not appreciate a mountain bike presence, but if you dig then you are welcome no matter what. the jumps are steeep, and not for beginners, though there are a few lines that anyone could try without fear of hospitalization. nearly every jump at ninth is a double. try this spot for frequent sightings of professional riders (20" of course). the average skill level at ninth will humble anyone.
TRU: these trails are made by and for mountainbikers. this means that the lips of the jumps are not steep at all, for the most part, and that the spacing and radiusing of the jumps will better accommodate a longer wheelbase. there are many styles of jumps here, including some very easy racer-doubles and some very intimidating downhill kickers. most of the jumps are doubles, but are easy to clear. the whole thing is built on a hillside, so you just roll in and never pedal, which is kind of nice (but kind of spoils you for riding 9th street, where you have to maintain some rhythm). there are good things for those just learning, as well as for experienced freeriders. i've seen these trails ridden on a 20" and on a 48lb DH bike. it's all about what you want to do. features: two big DH kickers, several DH doubles/gaps, a small ten-pack, some twisty stuff incorporating other medium-sized doubles. always under construction. this trail is not strictly legal, so there's always the potential that it will be gone sometime soon (this is also why we don't say much about where it is, here).
Cedar Park:
Big park, some little jumps and stuff, and one that has a grass transition on the other side of a hill. Good for all around bikin and fun, workin on skills.

So these Cedar Park jumps are kinda like the Leander jumps, except the berms are wider and there are more lines. 853 had this bump up to flyout thing going and the little kids kept getting in the way hee hee. Wait, that's not funnny at all. Anyhows, the 5Hun is starting to feel good, but it takes engines to get that heffer up to speed. Now that I'm moved, I need to detraumatize and ride.
Where in Cedar Park are the jumps?

It's in some neighboorhood park behind this shopping center thing. All's i remember is 183N, left on 620, right on El Salido Pkwy, right at the T where the shopping center is, first left at the light, left into the park parking lot, park there. Ride past the playgrounds and you'll see em past the track thing. I don't have many details past that tho :)

Anything would be worth that. They're another good set of jumps to learn on but not as big as TRU. If you wanna go, I'll ride too.

hey jay... i almost don't want to tell you this part, but earlier when you were telling me you didn't like jumping on your KHS, i was going to tell you to come by and pick up my hotrod to take out there this afternoon. you seemed kind of eager to go, though... so that was that. maybe next time (though, hopefully i'll BE there next time).

next time tell me, 'cause i live a block from CD and drive by there whenever i leave my place. it'll be a surprise for 853.
Man I wish I could have gone up there with you guys, alas it was my day to take care of house hold duties. Back yard looks good though and I got to practice wheelies while doging the dog.
Go here (http://www.bikemojo.com/speak/showthread.php?threadid=10732) if anyone is riding on Tuesday.

i might ride...not totally sure yet, though.
True, but I've sunk a good chunk of change into the Monty frame, and I simply must finish building it. The wallet won't allow another bike yet. :(
I bought three bikes this past year!! (although all were "deals")

That sounds like Milburn Park. There's a big pool there, right? It's about a mile from the house. If you go down that street a little further, you cross a drainage ditch. I've seen people riding that. It's shaped alot like a half pipe, but with grass.

Some stuff in Garland, TX wherever that is. I emailed the dude that posted these and he's cool with outsiders riding it. I think they're really far away, tho.
