anyone know if pants are required during the summer months? i reaaaaally want to go out there, but there ain't no way in hell i'm gonna wear pants during the mid-day now that temps are up there. i have shin guards...that should be ample protection, no?

So if you got knee/shin guards and shorts on and the only thing that is showing is the back of your knees, you still need pants on. :confused:

Yes, they want long sleeves and pants even if you have pads. However, if your polite to the track operator, he might let you slide. The couple that runs the track are pretty nice people. And it costs a whopping $2 to ride there. Money well spent.
Oh yeah, you will also need a top tube pad. They do have pads for loan(free) at the track if you don't want to spring for pads.

About the water- you'll want to bring some. They do have a concession stand, but they don't really have a water cooler.

so no one wants to go tomorrow? is that what i'm seeing? hmmmm... they actually did have a water cooler the last time i was there. i asked them for a hose, and they filled my bottle with icy fresh water instead.

hey, C_T... finally talked to gareth tonight at graduation. did you know that his daughter is rated number seven in the nation in her age group racing 20"? that's awesome, man... had no idea. he's going in for surgery, too... for the ACL.... anyway... he encouraged us to get out there, though. i think he's right. let's go.
