McKinney Falls State Park

Directions - Take 183 south past 71. Watch for the brown State Park signs on the right. Turn right on McKinney Falls Parkway. The park entrance is about three miles on the right.

Once in the park, pay your $2 at the honor box or inside if they are still open. Take the first right and go to the end of the road and park. This is the Lower Falls Parking area.

I have never ridden there, but was told that the weeds were very overgorwn along the trail. Is this true? Or have they done trail maintnance lately?

I don't know if the weeds are overgrown at this time. The homestead trail is usually in pretty good shape. And the weeds that do grow along that section don't usually get more than ankle high (that's ankle high while on the bike).

ya i rode last week and it is real overgrown with weeds and burrs, they get all in your socks and shoes and in everything it needs some grooming. some weeds were like knee high when on the bike.
