I might come up from san antonio. Wheels down at 6? Is this metting spot north Austin (should I add an hour to my drive from SA)?
Also, if I don't make this one, do you guys road ride on Thursday or Friday?

Bear can't drop nobody. Don't worry about that RVM.
so did Raycer X steal all the socks off of people's cars like he did with the water bottles?

Wait a minute – let me call Oldschooler (heh heh).
Right on River Place Blvd.
Left on Big View Dr.
Left on Narrow Ridge Dr.
Left on Westminister Glen Ave.
Left on City Park Rd.
Ok, I know what you’re thinking. Four left turns make a circle and isn’t that how I managed to keep you all out after dark last week but you gotta believe me.

The starting point for the dam loop ride is NW Austin - off 360 near the intersection of 360 and 2222. If you've ever been to City Park, you've driven right past the shop.
I'll likely be hitting the road on Thursday, probably in NE Austin, probably starting around 5:30. PM me if you're interested and we can try to ride.

I am impressed by the number people I usually see mountain biking are doing this road ride. This is going to be my first dam ride and my 4th road ride so I guess I will see how it goes. 6PM a the old Cycles 360? I'm in for sure...for now....

Ask G- about his...
Mine are still MTB hairy... will be for a long time! Unless I become really really fast! DF, that was a good ride too bad you couldn't make it out.

I think Jody was sporting a rather nice 5 o’clock shadow (j/k :D ).
When I had my third flat, officer Brett of the Lake Patrol was just going to give me a ride to the end of the dam so I wouldn’t get run over but I talked him into a courtesy ride to Walgreen’s. You guys sure looked worried when Lake Patrol rolled up on you. Geez, relax!
Thanks for loaning your pump and tube, Bear. And thanks for the Luna bar, Gracie (I feel like…I must…shop. Why is that?).

That's 'cause we took pity on him for having three flats, two on one 1/4 mile stretch.
:)
Glad I was there with parts DJ, sorry you had to use them.
I GOTTA get a 25/27 tooth cassette though, the 23t on my ride is killing me on some of those hills and I'm going to have to start worrying about my knees ... :(
OS71 - was that you that has the 2nd 12x27 to swap? You gonna be out @ WC tonight, I may be able to get home and get back there to do a swap if'n you are.

I have a question.
About how fast does the "A" group average on the dam loop ride? Probably varies, I know, but... 18? 20?
BTW a few of us are going to do this ride at 7:30 am on Saturday morning.

That was me Bear. Haven't had time to get on MOJO much the last few days. Yes, I do have a 12/27 Ultegra to swap for same but smaller cassette. OS71 and I are riding BCGB this AM so PM me and we can probably set up a meet later or give me a call 844-6801.
Great ride this am, and special props go to Toonces, who did the loop on a fixed gear.
