Carmichael Training Systems Internship Information for NCCA
Do you have what it takes to work for the leader in endurance coaching and coach of 4x Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong? Chris Carmichael former USA cycling coaching director and Carmichael Training Systems invites applications for a paid coaching internship.
Interns will be in charge of monitoring and developing CTS endurance training programs, providing athletes feedback on questions regarding all aspects of their training, and assisting senior Olympic level coaches with projects of interest. Interns will have the opportunity to obtain valuable professional experience and continuing education while learning the applied concepts of exercise physiology and biomechanics.
To qualify you must be at minimum a third year student in Exercise Science or a related field, as well as possess an interest in pursuing coaching as a career. Relevant coursework may include Basic Anatomy and Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, and Nutrition. The applicant should also possess a basic knowledge of exercise testing and prescription and periodization of training.
