somebody needs to find out exactly what we need to do Monday and get that happening if it's going to come to fruition. I'll be booked till wednesday, but I'll be happy to work the table all I can (when I'm not in class). Haave ya'll had a meeting to get things orginized yet?

the first meeting will probably be on sept 8 from 6-8. I just have to get a signature and we are set.

so are we having a table or not? A table will only be especially effective during the first 3-5 days of school. Once that recruiting oportunity passes it's gone for another year and there is a group of freshman that we'll likely never get a chance at again.

This might sound silly...but in addition to a recruiting table think about putting an add in the University Star. Make it catchy, and describe what the team can offer. Comradery, fitness, some traveling, good extra curric. activity for resumes. The Star should be cheap since ya'll are university club.

being the cheapskate i am, i remembered back in the day there used to be a notice on the second page of the printed star with what was going on each week as far as meetings, things to do, etc - not sure if there is an e-calendar on the website or not.
back then it was pretty basic, and it was in every issue, something like this under the heading for Thursday or whenever it was held
"SWT Cycling team ride, flagpoles in quad, 4pm" or something like that...
it would be an easy pace road ride for an hour or so, and maybe end up at the bell tower later for some laps, or sometimes a mtb ride out rr12 to the camp...it was good for newbies and the team as well.
anyway, here's the link, and itz FREE!
