Why is that posing? If the bike is only used for DJ you really don't need a front brake. Lets see first off it has a shock, 26" wheels. Gee I wonder if that allows for different possibilities????

sorry.

i guess i'll finish. if you have to ask... you'll never know.

i realize that this is somewhat copping out of explaining why a person would want to ride that bike instead of a 20", but in previous attempts to explain it, i've only managed to convince myself that it's one of those things that you either get right away, or will never get.

i DO ride a 20"... or did until i got the p.3... now it just sits around, mostly... but like C_T said: don't you think that would allow for other possibilities? it's just another way to have some fun on a bike in the air.

its a way to cop out in my opinion... a mtbike with SS and no frnt brake is just lame... i was talking about this with somebody today... either ride the 20 like a man, or ride a mtbike... dont try and make a mtbike something it isnt...

if youre only gonna DJ, then why not ride a 20?

why ride a 20? why use dual crown forks on DH bikes? why use hydro brakes? why use Profiles on anything other than a 20? why do a backflip on a moto?

why not?

none of those are related...

i just think if youre gonna dirt jump...do it on a dirt jumping bike... not a wanna be one...

as far as the profiles...because they are better than anything out there...

i see no point in having a bike like that evil...no front brake etc... just run a frickn cruiser... at least!

this is what i was saying.
if you have to ask...

*sigh*

basically, you just confirmed the theory. if you don't get it, you never will. if you don't want to ride a 26" DJ bike, then don't buy/build one.
keep that tunnel vision sharp, yo.

;)

thats the thing... why is it considered tunnel vision when its just a fair assesment? why would anyone need huge tires and front suspension to dirt jump? its not progression...its a waste of money...

a 26" jump bike that has the ability to switch through a couple gears while fighting austin traffic, allows use of a front brake for when it is taken trail riding etc, and has the ability to be raced in slalom and/ or 4X races...that seems to make more sense now yo... i guess you have more money to waste then i do...

I'm coming when I get my cast off.....will have a new 26" dirt jumper/urban assaulter for you to admire :)

one thing.....26"ers are very versatile. I love 20" bikes, but for "cruising" all over town doing urban assault missions....occasionally hitting some terrain not suited for 20's....like technical dirt/rock trails to get to some jumps.

then there are gears....good for epic urban missions....

personally....I think 20" bikes rule for groomed dirt jumps and skateparks.....but 24/26" bikes give me a different feeling...an alternative type of flow. It's fresh...

im all for 26ers...but feel that no front brake/ SS 26ers are pointless...

lft line at TRU has been worked up... whoever is building the lips out there needs some trail building 101:eek: hehe...cus the lips are very...uh...non-transitionary?

i might get out there and dig next rain... roller coaster could be made pretty damn fun if a couple things were changed and the drop at the end had a quick loop back up...

the other stuff is all good still

Who knows when i'll be back to TRU. I wish I lived close enough to go there consistently or maybe have a weekday off to go there in the morning.

I like 20" too, but I'm a bit tall for a 20". My Tank feels juuust right.

I really don't care about SS jump bikes or whatever. It's when you add pegs that it becomes silly.

it was just kinda gross yesterday... the lips are made for fullys you can tell...the trannys dont flow... i was having to suck stuff up pretty bad so as not to get bucked...

itd be cool if they made the lines a little longer with more flow to them...added some more options of stuff... i dunno... just suggestions...

left lines second jump is pretty big right now...more straight up than anything...but the take off is really weird...its almost like a wood ramp at the bottom in that its flat...then all the sudden it shoots up...not smoothed out at all
