there is a "neighborhood bmx track" up north...cedar park area....good red dirt...no must do gaps... no starting gate...about wide enough for 2 people... loooks like a neighborhood built it fr the kids there... i think its perfect for those of you that want to work on skills like that... ill be headed out there during the day sat i think with my bmx bike to play around... let me know if any of you want to check it out... its definitely not as intimidating as 9th street or tru would be...and there are mostly kids...not 9th street locals... so you guys wont feel like youre gonna be yelled at.

let me know.

hmmmmm....sounds like the one toon, 853, and i met at...the very first time i rode my Imperial. is it in a park, next to an open field, and a housing community?

Dont go to that one. It sucks, with exception of the big ass hill jump. Easy grass hill on the other side, no excuses.

The Leander park has the mini-course, few small doubles that would be good for the aspiring DJ'er.

i dont know if this is the same one...

this one had a hill to start from then a big table top, a couple other small roller doubles...then a long wide berm... a set of rollable/jumpable dubles, then a table, then another set of dubs...another big haul ass berm... a step doulble...then a step up into a turn... then a couple jumps down the last straight... around the "track" there are a couple sets of gaps...

tech game is that night so im plannin on riding out there noonish... we can carpool or whatever...its abit of a ways but i think its worth it...plenty to play on and nobody will be worried about gettin in 9th locals way etc... ill make you guys try shit...ive got a cattle prod...

2 places Poon and I went to:

Leander, which is in the pictures. has a "track", a double, and a mound jump. That double might be worth hitting if you're learning how to DJ.

Cedar Park is where 'Bred, me and Poonces met up for an afternoon. The time where I tried to DJ and wrecked. I kid you not, when I touch the side of my knee, it has hurt since that day. That's the one with the fun hill jump. I loved that jump on yalls bikes. Its close to my house and has lots of trials stuff on the playground for me.

rode for a bit...was a bit wet, but not enough to tear anything up or leave tracks...and i could rail the sticky turns...

i think yall will like it...i didnt take any pics or video and only rode for a bit... but its good training for me... wide open straights and turns and fast little jumps that at speed have to be sucked up a lot... im going to build a stumpy gate and start goin out there often...

hit me up if you want directions or to meet up...

You go up 183, left on 620, right at a street, all the way up, then right at the 'T' then left at the light, then left into the parking lot next to a pool. Right? Oh, and fuck this weather.

the dude with the gemini/monsterT is Shannon. I don't think he is on bikemojo. His bike is still in my shop, he jacked it up after that crash. the usual bent der hanger, but a blown headset and bottom bracket too.

that place is pretty nice. got seriously winded trying to head in to the wind  I was working on the step up double that leads into the berm before the big table. almost had it, but i was jumping the longer part and the wind would steel all of my speed as soon as i was airborn. tried the nose bonk to manual a few times = small nose bonk and no manual :(

we tried to pack in all the new stuff and add dirt where needed. Those kids definatly need to learn to respect that stuff. could it be true cedar park is more progressive than austin

one of the fathers is very into it...he works on the capitol city track too i guess...he and his son race...so hence the interest in the neighborhood track...

i want to get back out there to see what else was changed... i worked on that step double with ben etc... i had the front part way to lippy though...he was gonna dump another loadon it to make more of a transition... want to build up the little step up into that berm before the big table too....so you can kinda hip in all fast and rail the berm...

it could use more jumps or rollers on the straights too...and the "rhythm" section needs some work....fun stuff though.... lots of potential around it for trails too...
