shop workers getting pro deals then selling them to make a buck, seen it before.

wasn't he selling that bike last month for $2800? I bet you could offer him $1200 cash and he'll take it and like it.
it's sad when shop guys pro-purchase bikes & parts at wholesale or below and sell the stuff for a profit. it makes the shop you work for crack down and limit your purchases. it also forces the manufacturer to become more strict with pro-deals and also raise prices for regular consumers. it's not just my love of bikes that keeps me working in shops, but the suweet deals help too. sometimes it feels like i just get paid in bike parts. fox and mavic are two companies that are super generous for shop employees. raleigh & diamondback offer the best employee purchase deals on complete bikes. any shop employee that will pro-deal items and sell them on the side should be fired and blacklisted. i've sent customers packing for asking me to do that; it's insulting.
