Check this out on the TXBRA calendar (http://www.txbra.org/events/events.asp)

There's a camp from Wed through Sunday where you "camp" and ride with pros Alison Dunlap, Chann McRae, Jason Sager and maybe some others. They have instructional clinics and rides throughout the week, then the state CX champ race on Sunday. There's also a "camp" package starting on Friday night. Look at the online registration and flyer for details. I'd been thinking this was just for juniors, but they never say that and posts on TXBRA racing forum seem to indicate otherwise.

I'm at least doing the race on Sunday. Maybe I can make the camp too?

It was warm, but REALLY windy in spots that really slowed you down. I got 4th in the B's, and RaycerX was right behind me.

For an idea on the intensity: My Polar said average HR was 169, and max 186 over 55 minutes. I started it about 4 min. into race and includes about 7 minutes cool down, so average during race was probably more like 170.

This was a cool event! Awesome spectating weather and good venue. Got to see some buddies and talked to Allison for a few minutes. She seemed genuinely pleased to be in TEXAS (Hope it worked out well for her financially!). Sad to see the season come to an end....will have the new ride ready for next season FOR SURE!

Great work Dave.
