So Loco was supposed to call me and ride sunday afternoon, but he stood me up. I'm guessing his excuse will be something about a 70 mile road ride on saturday. No big deal, if I got beat by a girl I would sit at home and pout to. :D So I take off the Dana Peak by myself and tool around looking for some potential for built up stunts, jumps whatever. Something to make my shiver work for its money. On my way back to the truck, I decide to climb the hill right by the U turn where everyone parks. I get to the back side and ask myself, Why doesn't this trail go to the top of the mountian  So I hop off the bike and hike up there. I am suprized to find a rock bluff all across the top of the hill. anywhere from 3 to 10'. Since I'm by myself I aim the bike for a little 3 foot drop and yank up on the bars, but I lost a little more speed than I expected and headed down front tire first. The Shiver said don't worry thats what i'm hear for but Vanilla on the back said check out how fast my rebound is. So now I'm barrelling down the hill on just my front wheel sqeezing just enough front brake to not go over the bars heading straight for a tree. I get the back wheel set down, but not soon enough and have to lay the bike over to keep from hitting the tree. Dana Peak 1, Bob 0.

I could not have laughed harder. Sorry for bailing. Good news is, we get to ride in the evenings now. There could be some wicked stuff up top there.

Lets get with the who ever is in charge and get permission to build some northshore style stunts, and maybe cut a new trail or three. There is some huge potential for up to a 10 or 12 foot drop, some big jumps, and places for ladder bridges, berms, ect, ect. If some trail matenance had to be done on exsisting trails first that would be cool with me. I am just really anxious to get a place to ride that will challenge and improve my bike handleing skills.
