Come ride the Goodwater Trail at Lake Georgetown (http://www.austinridgeriders.com/trails.htm#goodwater) and experience central Texas' newest trail. We should be ready to ride at 2:30 PM this Saturday, April 24. You can ride 8.5 miles or up to 20 miles. Meet at Russell Park.
When you go through the first gate, you'll pass a large sign on the right that says, "Russell Park" and some other things. You'll also pass a road on the left; it may be gated. Park on the right just after the sign and the road. You'll see my truck there. The trail starts down that road that was on your left as you entered the park. If you got to the attendant's gate, you went too far. Once you're on the road on the left, ride about 100 yards down, and the trail entrance is on the left.
If you're coming from NW Austin and want to take Hwy. 183, go north out of Austin. Go through Seward Junction. Cross the North San Gabriel River and take the first right onto CR 3405. Follow this for about 6 miles and turn right onto CR 262. Follow this 2 miles to the park.
