I still see Dustin post, but we get no update. Was this purely to raise funds??? I didn't think it was.

here's an update:
lots of screwed up front derailleurs
tommy's has trashed 2 wheels
there's been 1 crash
lots of dumb drama
i rode in Virgin, UT and fell
girls in resort towns are hotties
everything Utah is absolutely beautiful
Cal is absolutely beautiful
riding has been good
at the end of today's ride, we're gonna go down a 12mi descent and see who can go fastest. 60mph is common on that particular descent. weeeeeeeeeeee.....
actually, it's hard to update 'cause net access is sketchy, and when we do get it, 20 people try to horde 2 computers...
keep checking the site, though. adam and tommy do a descent job of updating. i think.
Cool - sounds like you are having fun Dustin. Keep us posted occasionally.

here's a quickie...
Chris' lever has bit the dust. no one i've found sells single STI levers, and Performance is the only place that has them in stock...for over $200.
Mandy, Chris' girlfriend, blew her freewheel. it's toast. she weighs 100lbs.
San Fran is really, really big. almost too big. the streets are insane. 40% grades. not really, but they are steep.

just when things were looking good...BAMMO!
first, BHard and Doug got sick. it started out like food poisoning. BHard woke up at 11pm, puked. 12am - puked. 1am - puked. 2am - puked. i was there by his side, though, 'cause no one else was waking up. Sunny took him to the hospital.
3am - Doug wakes up. pukes. a lot. joins BHard at the hospital.
next day, all is well.
then we arrive in Hayward, CA (a little suburb of San Fran). that night all is well. the next night, all hell breaks looks.
Steve - pukes
Stu - pukes
Sunny - pukes
Don - pukes
BHard - still feeling under the weather
Doug - still feeling under the weather
all similar. start with stomach ache, the BAMMO! we leave those 4 riders behind in Hayward, to SAG back up to us the following day.
i decide to ride from San Fran to Bodega Bay (80mi). i arrive and shortly after, Paul asks if i want to go to the store. we go, and he tells me he's feeling sick, like a cold. i said i've had a cold for about a week now.
that night, Paul sleeps in the same tent as myself, Tommy, and Scott.
3am - Paul pukes. a lot. 4am - pukes. a lot.
the Sierra route is being hit by something, and it sucks. those of us who haven't gotten sick are pretty much refusing to eat any community food, and damn sure don't share our own.
some riders are recovering quickly. Stu is ready to ride tomorrow. however, BHard (Ben HARDwicke...i'm DBar (pronounced 'bear')) is still feeling weak. he SAGed in today, from 16mi out.
the route has become a lot of rolling hills with incredible winds. and about 70deg. i was so cold yesterday when about 3mi from Bodega Bay. i slept in my chamois, pants, jersey, wool socks, jacket, and beanie.

I bet Utah is beautiful. Wish I could have gone ... or go in the near future ...
Also wish I could revisit Cali; riding, this time.
What's up with the front Ds? How can something so simply and infrequently used get trashed? Bad build? What kinda drama?
