Ahhhh!

The wonderful world of MoJo! We may not be the smartest people in the world, we may not even ride well, BUT we can have a little sensless fun without involving animal mutilation.

I'll be there for brew and BS'n. Doug better show up to claim all the schwag I grabbed for him at Flat Rock - or it's mine, all mine I tell ya!

Doug, wife, and son won 2 Santa Cruz T shirts, a pair of Pedro's grips, a SC cap, a book on how to ride a mtb (*), a training logbook, and a water bottle. Not a bad haul.

(*) Be sure to read the chapter about avoiding trail obstacles - like large tree branches. :p

Hey Dan, Didn't Doug win that Santa Cruz Bullit bicycle that we gave away? Don't tell me it was your ticket...

Thanks, no hurry on the fork. Riding it will help you understand why there's nothing like a Marzocchi. I have the Z3 Air 100 and I love it.

We don't need interest in it, I know that's already there, what we need are some swift kicks in the behind to get us going. All we need is some direction and dates (the number kind not the female kind my wife would kick my ass if it were the female kind! ).

what about reimers or somewhere that is private like that and looking to change/ update things? (the new ramps etc...)

we can build a sweet little course if we get some downward sloping land...with jumps etc... it would be a good show...

This thread is about the original Memorial Day Funstival where Santa Cruz Bicycles hooked us up with a ton of schwag. Everyone please remember how much Santa Cruz has done for our race and sport. They've donated schwag and at least 8 frames have been donated or sold way below dealer cost for our events including this raffle. That's 5 Chameleons, 2 SuperLights and a Blur in 2 years and a few months. Not shabby.

Please purchase raffle tickets to support a company that has gone above and beyond the call of duty to support our scene.

BTW Weavah, I've been trying to talk Jimmy into a 4X course for a couple years now. Closest I've gotten is that he is interested in the wooden contraptions I build. Some day I'm going to build a sweet portable teeter totter to join my fun jump ramps. I really need to get a trailer for this stuff so I can be a travelling bike park...

Jimmy's family owns the ranch and he is the head mountain bike honcho in the family.

There's a perfect place for the 4X but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen any time soon. He's even got an earth mover of sorts.

why wont it happen? is he cool with really really cool bmx/mtbikers pickin up a shovel on that location and makin it happen? even little jumpage here and there along whatwould eventually be the course??? dude... they have this stuff in SoCal and thats why those riders rule..... they practice it... it would be awesome to be able to go hang out there and do some runs with some fellow riders instead of just riding the bmx track... pay to practice and a waiver for that spot on the land maybe????!

I agree and have spoken to Jimmy many times about this. The problem is that he is not the only family member living on the ranch and I think I remember him saying that they didn't want to tear up the land and spook the sheep and whatnot. My memory on the exact reason may be off, but I know he's told me no every time I've approached him about it.

He's real cool though and its possible that one day he may change his mind. He'd make a ton of cash if he did have some kind of course with berms and jumps though.

seriously.... cus a true 4X course would be nice to have around here... i wanna hit the sea otter and some other nationals next season and something other than the bmx tracks would be nice to practice on...

i wanna go and ride out there sometime with you if thats cool...see the ramps etc... see what the 4X layout would be... we can bring 853 to entertain the sheep so they wont be scared...
