Hey everyone... it's time to get going... lots fo riding to do, so little time....
Here we go- I am riding at 4 30 pm TODAY with new member Chris (meet us at the fountain mall..... we're leaving at 4:30!!!!). We are continuing with our mile-basing and planning on 60 or so miles, at a medium pace..... anyone who comes out will NOT be lost.... the object is to get miles in and finish the long ride, not to die.
This site will be the happening place to get info on who's riding when.... look here every day cause I will be posting my info, at least until we get a solid schedule figured out.
Go Baylor Cycling!

I'm doing some training for the MS 150 in October and have been riding alone all summer while everyone's been gone. I ride 6 days/wk: M,W,F,Sa,Sun mornings and Tu afternoons. My schedule is pretty flexible, but I'd rather not ride in the heat of the day if I can help it.
Anyone interested in riding with me? If not I'll try to make it to actual club rides if I have enough notice!
Oh yeah, welcome back everyone! :-D

I was the only one who showed up... I rode 40 at avergae of 18... pretty tough with all the wind. But, I saw several baylor cyclists and some other cyclists riding around the various roads (a lot around the airport and damn).
Tomorrow (Thursday) I have to do another quickie, from 7 to 8 (dark). I will repost if that is not gonna happen, but otherwise i will be at the fountain mall and leaving at 7!

There is a fast paced ride that leaves Outback Bicycles on Wednesday at 6:30(I think).

Worked my butt off today so I could spend a few hours cycling tomorrow. I'm hoping to go about 60 miles around 3:00 if anyone is interested. I'm also hoping my tire doesn't rip on the 43rd mile again...but don't worry David, I'll give you a call to come pick me up if it does ;)

Sadly I will not be able to ride today (Friday) I was gonna get up ealry and go out, but look what time I am posting right now!!!
I WILL be riding Saturday starting sometime in the afternoon- going for slow but long. I will post by Sat. morning. On Suday, I'll have my mountian bike back, so that means only one thing.... time to hit up the trails for the first time this semester!!! wooooo hoooo!!!! I plan on catching the Waco Bicycle Club ride at 2 pm Sunday, which meets at Redwood shelter. I will be leaving from the fountain mall at 1:30 to get over there in time on my bike (approx. 3.5 miles... take it SLOWWWW...) If any beginners are reading this, it's a great ride to get back into the habit of trail riding or into it for the first time.
Hope to see some new faces for my rides... DOES ANYONE ELSE PLAN ON RIDING ANOTHER TIME WHO WOULD CARE TO POST!!! ANYONE!?!?
See you OUT THERE

Since I'm going on longer rides for my training for the MS150, I was wondering if any of you veteran guys could tell me where good places to ride are so I don't have to do any loops twice...I'd love to go with you on one of your rides next week, but I guess I'll have to start checking this forum more often. I check my email 15 thousand times a day but never the forum...no wonder I'm missing rides. Anyway, if I come, since I'm a girl and not as strong as you big manly men, someone may have to stay back with me becase I won't be able to do an avg. of 18 mph. I've gotten better since last year and I can avg 17 on a good day but I can't always keep up with you guys. If you don't mind having a lowly woman on the road with ya, I really do want to ride some long distances with you.
Do you have any idea of when you'll be riding what days next week so I can attempt to plan my riding schedule to go with you?

It's been awhile since I have done it, but head out Waco Drive/HWY 84 to McGregor. Turn north/right onto 317(toward Crawford/Valley Mills). Left then right in Valley Mills to 56. Turn right onto 1637/China Springs Hwy/N 19th and head back to Waco. You could also turn right on HWY 6 in Valley Mills then catch FR 156 before the lake to go to China Springs Hwy. I don't know that I would want to cross Twin Bridges(HWY 6 over the lake) during the afternoon. I have crossed early in the morning w/ no problem.

Alriiight, finally some more action around here!!!
Shelly, 17 is pretty good for a logn ride if you ask me. A very clear and easy routs that will get you 60 miles is this:
Univ parks east/ south, ALL THE WAY past ASA, out to chilton. Turn right on Hwy 7 in Chilton. Take left at Hwy 77, go out to Lott, take a break, turn around, and take 77 all the way back to Waco. There are some hills but nothing too crazy... its a beatiful ride too... just dont get stranded without a cell phone!
Check out the forum tomorrow afternoon... I should be going out sometime around 3 or 4... compton, thansk for updating the site again.... wanan come ride???

i'm probably going mtn biking in the morning, and then hit the road later on. I don't know how long of a ride the road one will be, cause i'm bringing a newbie along.
i've got this great route thats 40, or easily convertible into 60; its on some familar roads probably, and some unfamilar probably.
if y'all wanna rock that, that would be cool. just let me know.
Me thinks Wumpus and myself are riding CP in the morning. Prolly 9:30 or 10. We'll be at the Redwood shelter if it isn't raining. Post up if you might join. Silver xterra/mojo sticker.
Not sure if we will be rockin anything though.
