If you live in North Austin and can not make it to the Tuesday Nighter because of traffic or distance. We have a good ride in Georgetown. It starts from the High School.
Take I-35 North exit Lake Georgtown, take a right on Williams Dr., your next left on Austin Ave, go about 2 miles past FM 971, the High School is on your right. We start at 6:00pm from the Flag Pole in front of the High School. Very little traffic, good country road.

Chris,
How does the Wednesday ride in Georgetown compare to the Tuesday Nighter with regard to intensity, terrain, and number of riders?
Thanks,
Doug

Doug,
The Tuesday Nighter has a great deal more riders, but we can crank out some speed. If your a CAT 3,4, or 5 you will enjoy our rides. The REI team has more and more people showing up.

Got a chance to ride with this group last night... It's a fast, friendly group on a nice, rolling, traffic free loop. Essentially, you ride out 5 miles to a ~8 mile loop, repeat the loop as many times as you want, then ride back. The pace was strong - I averaged over 20mph for the entire ride, including a slow ride out and back and one slower lap around the loop, and I lost sight of the leaders 1/4 into the first fast lap (I lost sight of everyone else a little bit later when I missed the turn and ended up in a different town, but that's another story...)
Good ride - I'll definitely attend again.
