i have a schwinn world road racing bike from like 1991 and can not afford to buy a new one and this one is in good condition and a good all around and fast bike. i was looking into doing some of the races and starting off in the beginner class since i usually only ride like 30 to 40 miles a week. but what should i do to make my bike more competative it does not have clips or the brake lever shifter so any help is appreciated
