Baylor Biker

Whether you want to just check out the race scene, come to support your fellow club members, or race yourself for the first or second or 30th time, anyone from the club is welcome. Camping is definitely worth the trip!
Itinerary:
Saturday 9/18
Depart from Baylor 9 AM (carpool). Travel approx. 4 hours to El Dorado, TX. Set up camp, pre-ride the course (you can come ride around for fun even if you aren't racing...). Go into town for dinner, hang out at camp-site. (camp site is primitive and we will have a tent big enough for everyone, and there ARE showers available, so we've been told...). Chill out in the evening, but no hurry to get to bed because beginners start race later in the morning on Sunday...
Sunday 9/19
Wake-up and pack up camp... beginner race bgins at 12:30 pm (better than getting up at 6:30...) race should be over by 2, we should be able to head out by 3 at the latest. Return to Baylor by 7 pm.
This is another TMBRA race that is well-organized and has lots fo cool biking stuff going on. There are alos lots of prizes raffled off to racers just for participation. This is a great way to get started racing or to spend time with the team! (Note: since this is a non-collegiate race, racers will have to pay entire entry fee in addition to day-liscense if you don't have one... for first-time racers this is only $25 to race...) Everyone else who is not racing should get by with about $25 at the most after contributing to gas costs and food stops.

Email David_Simon@baylor.edu by Friday, 9/17 if you want to go on the trip.
Racers: Check out Thursday night's dinner (http://www.bikemojo.com/speak/showthread.php?p=385193#post385193)... good way to pack carbs and to discuss the plans for the weekend....
Come on everyone... this will be fun!!!!
