sorry linds, wish i could ride tomorrow but i have class at 5 :( did you end up going out saturday morning for a long one?
tuesday is much the same story, once again no riding (getting really old...)
BUT everyone should come to the meeting at 9 in the CUB (part of the SUB) tuesday night! we have lots to discuss, and we all need to get our orders for uniform parts in before it's too late! :coolness:
Look for a race report from X bar soon (hopefully) complete with pictures and a story about the little jeep that could... (make it back home, BARELY...)
Peace out, ride out, and etc.

Yeah the ride on Sat was great, around 50 miles of really good road. Some of us then went on to do another 10 miles or so to get some mileage up.
I'm not riding Tuesday, I have class in the evenings (which this week I'll be doing a maximal oxygen consumption test, so I get ot exercise till I drop anyway!) Going out Wed and Thurs for about 30-40 miles if anyone wishes to come. Times will be posted later, generally in the late afternoons.
See you all at the meeting, unless I have a heart attack or something in class before.

As much as I'd love to Shelley I've put my hand up to go experience the racing circuit this weekend. But please please please tell me all about it, and mark in where the big hills are and just how big they are! Much appreciated!

going out at 4 pm with zach vanrheen for about an hour and a half, then heading over to Bicycles outback at 5 45 for KOW (race-paced ride, with race finish...) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR CURRENT RO FUTURE RACERS.
If anyone wants to just do the King of Wednesday (KOW) part, and you don't know how to ride down to the bike shop reply to this message by 3 45 and we'll swing by to pick you up at the fountain mall at 5:15.
Zach and I will ride from teh fountain at 4 and go a moderate pace. KOW leaves from bicycles outback at 5 45 and will be generally fast paced for 30 miles. Post up if you have questions.

I'll be there friday afternoon...

'moderate' usually means around 17-19 mph without wind. 'slow' means an easy relaxed pace, usually floating between 16 and 17 for me.... but, Friday is the day before a race, so if people show up who cant ride even that fast it doesnt matter... we can go as slow as we want... its a 'recovery' ride.
fast rides depend on who's there.... but if we get like 5 riders we can trade pulls at 25+ mph for extended periods of time.
hope this helps
David
I can do 17 - 19 without wind. Lately I can do 18 with wind. Hmmmm - I will get lots of crap for coming to ride the road bike in Waco. Wumpus will be mean to me. :(
