Race Time!

We NEED help with registration at the SLC from 7:30-9 Friday evening... lemme know if you could help out...

PRE-RACE RECOVERY/ SLOW CLUB RIDE

I'll be leaving from the fountain mall at 12:30 pm... going about 1.5- 2 hours VERY low-paced...come get your ride on!



CARB-PACKING DINNER!!!!

If we get enough help with the registration, I will be hosting the thrid club pasta dinner, from 7:30 to 8:30 Friday Night at The Place Apartments #708. Racers, this is a great way to get ready and to discuss stuff if it's your first race ever. NON-RACERS ARE WELCOME TOO!!!! Especially all you race volunteers!!!

I will post whether or not this dinner will be for sure by midnight tonight (Thursday) (99% sure it will happen...) .... If you are interested in coming, PLEASE email me asap so I can get the necessary supplies... go ahead and let me know now, even before I post confirmation... that way I can also see general interest....

The club dinner for tomorrow night (Friday) is a no-go... couldnt find anyoen to do registration, so that leaves me... plus, a whopping one person replied, and even though Chelsea is cool she's not THAT cool.. (Just Kidding, Chelsea!!!!)

OK, so this is information for those that want to get out to the race courses with the rest of us to help with preparations and such, and/or to race!!!.

Saturday morning, road race in Clifton

We will leave from the circle on 5th street at 7:00 A.M. ... We will LEAVE at that time, so get there a little earlier (6:45). Directions to the Saturday morning course will be posted soon... best bet is to meet us at 6:45!
*NO VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for this race... the city of Clifton is kind enough to host this one! BUT we do need all the help we get later... see below....


Saturday Afternoon Time Trial

The TT will start with the first person going off at 4:30.. Helpers should be there (at the middle school) around 4 to get instructions and everything. We should be out of there by 7 or so. The officers will be out there early; a caravan with a designated leader will be leaving from the circle on 5th street at 3:30 pm to take any other racers or volunteers... -Directions to the course (http://www3.baylor.edu/cycling/races.html)- (use yahoo or mapquest with the address for the middle school).

Sunday Morning, Baylor Bears Road Race

For our road race the offciers will leave from the circle on 5th street at 6:30 a.m. We will need volunteers at the course no later than 7:30 at the staging area. A separate caravan for volunteers will be leaving from the circle at 7:00 a.m. Racers should come with the first caravan so there is time to warm up. -Directions to the course (http://www3.baylor.edu/cycling/documents/RR%20Map.htm)-


REGISTRATION for the two Baylor-sponsored races will take place tomorrow night (Friday) at the SLC from 6-9 pm. Baylor Cycling Club members race FREE (must purchase $5 one-day racing liscense).
