she's a beauty! looks like something only owned/issued to a pro CX racer.

nicely matched paint on that Alpha Q.

I've never seen that kind of front brake cable hanger. That would have solved a lot of heartache and problems for me last year when I built mine up and didn't have enough steer tube to mount a standard headset one. I figured out something else, but that one would probably work better still. Please post any info on where one can procure such a thing.

I'm hoping my Salsa will be done soon.

the front hanger is a custom one off that the guy i bought it from had made so i don't know where to get one i'll ask him next time i see him.

since that phot was taken i've got a dura ace seatpost installed the thompson went on the girlfriends CX bike and hopefully my spooky cx brakes will be here soon, other than that the bike is exactly as when i purchased it.

pulls cable from a little in front, but I doubt that's an issue. pretty ingenious looking to me. I'd think it would sell well.

another hot set up is drilling a hole in your stem and running the cable straight through there to your front brake (sorry no pix) but a few "Houston" CX dudes run that gucci (tm) set up.

from what i hear...if the euros ain't doing it...it aint worth it kinda like the second set of brake levers on your bars are passe' now and nit needed.

Are those Paul's Neo-Retro? I got those for front, but they couldn't get me the narrower Touring model for the rear so they dug some old funky ones out of a parts bin. They actually worked quite well.

My one criticism about the Pauls compared to my old cheapo Tektro is they are kinda hard to open and reclose to get the wheel in and out. Maybe the brake pads are just set too close so I don't have enough play? However, they do have LOADS of power. Makes you wonder why we need V-brakes.

Yea, that field just seemed to go on and on eternally, and the ruts didn't help. It got a bit smoother later, but not much. My legs, back and shoulders were killing me afterwards. I got a massage therapist to work it out. I feel tons better now.
