your barking up the wrong tree fbikeman i talk a lotta shit but never about my crappy racing results by the way where are YOUR results? Why don’t you mojo badasses walk the walk and show up to some events then Instead of strutting around like you’re the cock of the walk? As it stands now the Houston folks totally own ya’lls ass. Your first opportunity is next Friday at the 12hr / 6hr marathon at RHR teamsmack.org will be there will you?

You miss the whole point of BikeMojo. The BikeMojo team leads all others in the apres-race partying. Any competition will have to include a keg draining event in order to be truly fair.

I have considered this teamsmack.org has way too many teetotalers and “training freaks” to be any real competition to the post event activities of the bikemojo.com ilk. Therefore the advantage of after-race undertakings will lean toward the mojoers

LMAO! quote from ts'er John:

No, no, no. There's a HUGE difference between "no show" and "the contest was mentally simulated by one of the teams and the conclusion was drawn that the other team would have gotten their asses kicked so decidely that a physical contest was not required to validate the simulation".

sounds like ts is arguing with the little voices inside it's collective head

or maybe mojo and ts just see the world differently (in general; i'm sure there are both types on either board): mojo would see the RIDE itself as the point and ts would see the PODIUM as the point; it's all good.

Well, if it's to be a true mojo vs teamsmack contest, then teamsmack should form their own team and race in the TMBRA series. There are many mojo's who are also members of other teams.

There is no “official” teamsmack team per say because we have too many folks on various other bikeshop teams here in Houston…bikesport, west end, bike lane, acme bikes, northwest cyclery, bike barn, spring valley etc…etc…that’s why I suggest that we could have our own inter-web-forum rivalry. to make things interesting this spring season. Now I never did say that their wasn’t some fast folks on mojo however if you look at the demographics of ratio of total bike riding/racing ass kickers per forum you’ll see that with only 525 registered users on teamsmack we totally dominate bikemojo and their 2400+ registered forum users. You would think that a place that has almost 5 times as many so called “bad ass riders” on it they could muster up a few racers to compete with teamsmack on things such as cyclocross, marathon events, TMBRA races and even road racing….don’t you think? So put down the bong and leave the beer in the fridge and get you sum this season hell I’ll by the keg to celebrate if ya’ll can average better finishes against us this entire spring TMBRA race season. Any takers?

Your very astute Sir and catch on a lot quicker than the rest of these folks.

I’m not saying that mojo riders suck at all, shoot…from what I read on here ya’ll are the baddest most gnarly kick ass skillful riders in all of Texas. Hell I’m not saying that the folks on teamsmack are worth a damn either…heck were from Houston whatta you expect anyway? "state champs" …I’m just proposing a little friendly challenge is all to make the spring interesting.

Teamsmack.org is made up of mainly a very small group of Houston folks and you mojo guys have over 2400 registered users from all over Texas and everywhere else. Surely you can come up with enough folks to attend a just a couple cyclocross races next month and a few marathon races in the next six months and at least five outa eight tmbra races in the next five months to give us teamsmack.org guys a run for our money. Come on whatta you say your best against our best?

I think we have been called out. I'll be at most of the TMBRA races this spring, maybe even the next 12 hr event. But I won't be doing it for the sake of Kitty, I'm doing it for the love of the ride, the pursuit of excellence, or some bullshit like that. :p

a) I don't remember anyone claiming that those 2400+ registered mojo users were badass bikers. heck, I suck and I know I own at least 2 of those identities. there are no where NEAR 2400 actual people who post. I think those claims only come from your disturbed psyche.

2) people would actually have to give a shit about this competition for it to mean anything.

iii) since this seems more akin to a fantasy cycle racing league with you claiming anyone who knows anyone that's posted on teamsmack, I claim sager and lance for bikemojo since sager has actually done a racing trip with a bunch of mojos, twice, and since lance lives and trains in cen-tex. I also claim the retired Tour de France winner, miguel indurain as well as the late marco pantani. so there.

Well Kitty, I don't race. I've considered it, but I always change my mind. I am a competitive person. In fact, I love to compete! But you know what, I enjoy the rush of a good ride more than anything. I may consider Comfort, or Tapatio, but who knows, I'll decide the night before, hell I"ll probably wait till that morning to make my decision.
Now, if you and your friends every want to come down to SA, I'll be glad to give you guys a personal tour of our favorite place to ride. Ever been to OP Schnabel park? It's a great place to ride, a variety of trails. If you want we can hold a little informal race there. time trial, 3hr, 6hr, 12hr, I'm sure we can come up with something.

melting beer bottles and using the molten glass to make art....while drunk.

capping the bottles of Night Train with some still in it, creating a Revolutionary War-like cannon peel....screaming is welcomed (CHARGE!!!!!!!!).

puking.

drinking a variety of knock-off brand cleaning products diguised as liqour.

spraying highly flamable and toxic chemicals into a fire hot enough to melt metal. (certified Mojo fire marshalls only)

using gigantic flaming tree trunks, set atop a burtally hot fire, as spring boards for a demonstration of gymastic prowess. current record holder: The Salamander with 21 points.

dropping highly explosive cans, canisters, bottles, or cups, of highly flamable chemicals into a brutally hot fire.

peeing in and/or on automobiles, tents, port-o-potties, grills, shoes, the wind, animals, trash cans......

burning day-old hamburger patty shaped puke.

dancing.

cursing.

singing songs.

discussing the merits of the spring loaded clothes pin vs. the other kind.

networking.

eating from a fine spread of the best damn cuisine, damnit!

inventing new words, you jerkbitch.

founding new non-profit organizations: HHAA (Hydrilla Hunters Association of America)

harming your friends.

The beer will taste that much colder at the end of 12 hours of pushing yourself harder than you thought you could and the victory of the accomplishment is much more sweet when shared by friends who have shared in your pain also.

Hell anyone can go out and get shitfaced drunk any day of the year heck I made a college career out of it. Why not bring in the new year achieving something positive for a change?
