I'm visiting the addison/galleria area in feb for a few days and the airlines want 100 bucks to ship my bike. Does anyone know of a bike shop that rents out mtb's in the area.

When you fly into the airport, stop in to Mad Duck Adventure Sports (http://madducksports.com/site/index.cfm) in Grapevine. Its seriously five minutes from the North Entrance to DFW. They only deals in high end bikes and will hook you up proper.
Post up and let me know when you're in town and I'll either show you the goods or set you up with someone who knows where to go.
