First of all I would like to thank everyone who has spent time working on Highlander. The trail is moving along very well and is amazing. Next there will be a few changes over the next few months to some of the trails in the park. Overall most of the trails in the park are very sustainable and require very little care. Some of the trails that were not sustainable have been moved or rerouted in a effort by the park rangers over the last few years to make them more stable. These include Flume, the bottom of Little Colorado and a few other litttle changes. The next big change will be a rerouting of Rhino. Before anybody freaks out it will not affect the ability to hook into Hale Bop or any other loop that currently exists. Rhino has over the last few years been overcome by falling trees, random reroutes and now a flowing creek. This has led to a maze of trails all called Rhino. If you are riding up ARhino twoards Hale Bop the new trail will be up the hill a little bit to your right. This will allow Rhino wash to return to being a creek bed and a sustainable trail built in its place. There will also be a few changes on Californis 56 but those are a little futher away. Thanks, if you have any questions feel free to call me at 254 640 1590 or stop by Bicycles Outback to chat, IAN

It would also be cool if we could turn Shyst into a gravity cavity like trail. Would help a lot with the erosion.

Yeah Shyst is a bit p;erplexing. We have started attempts in the past to try and do someting with it but it never seemed to fix anything. IAN
