The first annual ATLAS ride is on June 4th and goes from Cedar Park High School to Lampasas, a distance of about 70 miles. The route takes you through Oatmeal, Burnet, by countless farms , over beautiful countrysides and even by Llamas and other "exotic" animals. Registration is only $50 and all of that money goes straight to the American Cancer Society. You will get a fully supported ride, t-shirt and post-ride party to include free beer, food and live music. There is an option for transportation from Lampasas to Cedar Park at the end of the ride. There are also fundraising incentives where you can get Sockguy socks, Specialized waterbottles and pint glasses decorated with the Texas 4000 for Cancer logo. Good stuff!
The ride will coincide with the first day of the Texas 4000 for Cancer trip so you can ride a leg of this amazing journey with the 41 crazy students that will ride their bikes to Anchorage, Alaska.
You can check out the ATLAS ride website, www.atlasride.com, where you can register through Active.com. The Texas 4000 website is www.texas4000.org.
Post up with any questions. Hope to see you out there!
