Finally got my first bike!!! :D 2002 trek 8000...really awesome shape, original everything! :-) Anyhow, I assembled it roughly for a short test but I'd like to take it to a bike shop to have everything properly lubed & torqued. Any recommendations for a local bike shop that is trustworthy and not too pricey? (Local to the Bryan-College Station area)

Thanks guys!!

Josh

Isn't there a big Bike SHop right there on University Ave, right near the big Burrito place?

There are 3 near campus, Aggieland Cycling, BCS Bicycles and Cycles Etc. I was just wanting input as to which people prefer. Have you been to the one next to freebirds? I think that one is Cycles Etc.

Thanks!

BCS Bikes (on Dominik) used to be a good shop, but they've had a lot of turnover, and I don't know any of the mechanics who work there these days.

Cycles Etc... Weeg, that's the one you're thinking of. They merged with another shop and moved down the street next to...

...Kinko's.

I don't recommend Aggieland Cycling, not for a trustworthy shop.

The other two are better bets, I think.

join the cycling team, thats the best advice i can give you and someone could probably show you how to fix everything yourself.
