Let your voice be heard!

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will hold a series of public meetings across Texas this summer. These meetings will allow you to comment on the TPWD's draft of their "Land & Water Resources Conservation and Recreation Plan."

Once finalized, this plan will guide the TPWD's future actions relating to conservation and recreation. Therefore, it is important to express your opinion on where TPWD should be heading in relation to parks, open space and trails for the 21st Century.

You can attend one of the public hearings listed below or you may submit written testimony by August 7, 2002, to: Emily Armitano or Jeff Francell at 4200 Smith School Road, Austin, TX 78744, or e-mail your comments to emily.armitano@tpwd.state.tx.us

August 6th - Houston Area Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m., Humble Civic Center, 8233 Will Clayton Parkway

August 7th - Austin Area Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m., TPWD Headquarters, Commissioners Hearing Room, 4200 Smith School Road

Hey SA MoJos!!!!

I'll be headed to the public hearing that's at TPWD headquarters on Smith School Rd. tonight. The meeting is at 7pm and since I get off at 5pm, I plan to get there early and ride some trails before the meeting. If anyone else plans to go or would just like to ride, let me know and we'll hook up at the headquarters building and go for a ride at McKinney Falls State Park.
