Oh well…here goes I’ve never been one to shy away from controversy.
Hey RHR guy who designed the non-flowing new stuff?
It’s like some one purposely went out of their way to have a nice section of trail then right as your getting into the groove BAM! A sharp right hand turn.
Then your riding some more getting some speed going feeling the groove and BAM! Sharp left turn.
I thought it was just me but I spoke with some folks that were at the 6hr this weekend and they noticed that the new stuff doesn’t flow well at all either.
It seemed to me that the trail was built in stages or sections and to connect all the sections all these kooky 180 degree corners and stuff were put in.
Hey I’m down here in Houston so we are all about the flat, tight and twisty stuff but ya’ll have all this nice rolling land and then decide to make it like jack brooks park.

Hey RHR guy who designed the non-flowing new stuff?
You should have ridden them before I took the tight stuff out . . . :D
Boomer and I laid out FL, and the Bottle was a creation by myself and another friend, with help from Skid, Crash, and Boomer on cutting and finishing both trails.
Do you think your woes might have some relationship to the trail names? (Frontal Lobotomy, Bottle-In-Front-Of-Me)
Hint: the lay-out is CRAZY, Man!
That's why they were designed to be optional (extra credit trails). Though from the traffic, I think that they are getting more use than the old routes.
Granted, there are still a couple of spots that may get un-noodled a little more . . . but not until the temps come back down into the seventies.
Naturally, I kinda like the tight stuff and enjoy the challenge . . . up to a point. And I agree that flow is a good thing too.
Maybe we can ride them and you can show me the parts you feel are too sharp.
Or, there is a lot of nice, straight, wide jeep road out there . . .

Oh, and I like what you've done with the trails since taking over. The lack of maintenance and addition by the previous manager was...sad.

....and the NB/SM forum needs to be above Georgetown and RHR too, it's the third busiest in the TX group
The new trail was enjoyable at the 6 hour, but there were some stumps (small ones) that need to be taken out all the way - and the reflectors were helpful, but would be twice as effective if they were on one side of the trail only.

Thanks everybody (even Hello Kitty :) ) for your input and comments. Just got home from football practice and saw the new forum WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO. Tell us what kinda info you want from us, and of course your (constructive) suggestions/ideas are always helpful - I can do all kinds of sh*t, but I can't read minds - yet.

ps Many thanks for the forum - your check is in the mail!!!!

NO SHIT!
They threw in all these damn tight spots just to screw with those of us that ride close to the edge. SOME people thought it would be FUNNY to make it too tight for someone with new handlebars that were a little to wide. Someone ELSE thought it would be fun to LABEL all those wonderful spots. Just wait until it cools off some, and I can go back to riding so hard I embarrass their slow asses on my ass-kickin' carbon fiber hard tail with the trimmed down x-country fiber riser bars.
HA!

It took me until FL to finally figure out that it meant the trees were tight.
PS I think it's pretty FUNNY as well!

I thought FL was one of the best parts during the 6 hour. Seemed the best flowing part to me. Course Marshall Jay rode behind us during that section and we chatted it up that whole section. Can't wait to ride it again on the 31st!
