Baylor Cycling members,

It is approaching the new school year and another busy cycling season. A lot of shuffling is going to be happening over the next month or so before school starts August 21st.

I will be stepping down as president and will only remain on board to provide a little extra help in emergencies. It is only summer and I already have too much on my plate, fall will make it impossible for me to provide the time required to be an officer. I will stay on for a transitional period.

We graduated Claire and Ellen so we are down to Matt Googe, Ponce Duran, and Erika Myers.....all of whom will be graduating either next year or the following term. As a result we need dedicated people looking to put time into the cycling club as an officer this coming semester. The cycling team has reached a peak in its membership, sponsorship, and conference participation and we would like the legacy to continue to grow.

We will be restructuring the leadership team for fall to more closely reflect duties.

Officer positions for Fall 2006:
President
Vice President
Secretary/Treasurer
Fall Road Race Coordinator
Spring Mtb. Race Coordinator
PR Director
Sponsorship Director

Returning Officers: Matt Googe, Ponce Duran, and Erika Myers.

If you are interested in being an officer or taking a lead role please contact Matt Googe or myself and we will keep you informed about upcoming meetings as we prepare for Fall '06.

Yes we could definitly use some more officers. It really isn't that hard there's just alot of stuff we have to do before each race or for putting on races. If we can get a few more officers we can divide it up and noone will have to do much work and we can get more done.

I was mistaken in my first post. Erika graduated. So only have Googe and Ponce returning as officers in Fall!

Hey thanks justin! In addition to being an officer would you be willing to be admin of the forum and/or help out with the website?

Hey just caught this thread. I'd like to help you guys out, so just let me know what position I could fill, I'd prefer medium work, but as you said the more people we have, the less we'll all have to do. I plan on racing pretty heavily this season, so more work = less riding = less happy me.
