Where to ride?

Hey

I am going to be in Dallas on Sept.11, maybe the 12th also:eek:

I was wondering what trails if any are around or close by the DFW airport;)

I'll be staying close by the airport:rolleyes:

Dont want to drive a long ways to get to trail my truck swallows up gas:D
with my luck gas will be at 3 dollars a gallon by then:eyebrow:

Or should i just take my road bike and rollers:mad:

Bah! Leave the rollers at home. There are two very fun trails very close to DFW. The first would be Northshore located on the North Shore of Lake Grapevine. Very close to the airport.

On the south side of Lake Grapevine is the Horseshoe trail system. It is a bit of a rat maze, so I suggest taking a guide, but it is a very fun trail. Probably where I ride the most when I hit a trail during the week.

If you have interest in hitting a road ride with a bunch of us, we usually do a Monday night Road Ride at River Legacy Park in Arlington. Probably a ten minute drive from the airport. It can be a spirited ride at times, but were accomodating to folks. Let me know if you would like to do that one and I'll give you directions and what not on where to find it.
Let me know what else you might need. There are a bunch of us that ride that live very close to DFW and could even be convinced to get you good and liquored up if need be. ;)

If you can get me the location of where you are staying, I can get you to any of the trails or where we do the road ride. They are all fairly easy to find. Let me know which hotel you are in and a street address and I will get you directions.
