Has the power been restored to the Saloon or is it still "shower in the dark?" What will the set up for the race this weekend be?

As far as I know it will be cold showers for everyone, in the dark. So take a friend with you to hold the flash light. Its the buddy system.
The good news is , maybe Boomer can come up with a generator.
The trails have dried up nicely and the coarse is ready to go.

Cold and dark showers are better than none at all. At least we have access to some. I'm guessing the wife wouldn't appreciate having me in the tent after two days of riding with no shower.

I wouldn't count on power being run to the saloon until someone takes it over.
But for the race, this could be an easy fix. All you need is a generator and some extension cords. When I ran the Texas Chainring Massacre (http://www.crmrace.com) there over the summer, I got a generator and set it on the front porch of the saloon. Then ran some extension cords into the shower area and plugged the existing lights in. Showers were still cold but my race was in August so nobody really cared. But at least everyone could see in there.
So bring a generator and some extension cords to Smithville and you'll be the hero of the weekend. :D
Heck, there should even still be some air fresheners that I left in there from this past August.

....So bring a generator and some extension cords to Smithville and you'll be the hero of the weekend......I'm planning on bringing a small grill and several packs of hotdogs & sausage for the wife to cook up for the same reason.:)
Stop by the tent site anytime, and Amy will hook you up with some free, fast grub.
