Greetings tri-people!
I just moved to New Braunfels, and I've got a couple of questions I need some help with.
First, I'm mainly a cyclist, but I like to swim in the winter for cross training. I would get laughed at and probably drown at a masters workout, but I do like to hit the pool a few times a week. But, I don't know where to swim here in NB, any suggestions?
Also, my girlfriend is a triathlete from Dallas. It'd be nice if she had a group to run with, or even do a block, when she's in town. Any recommendations?
Thanks,
~Steen Rose

Alamo City Triathletes usually swin on Saturdays early at Boerne City Lake. Nick Siedel has a group in NB that you may find more conveniant. As far as pools go, I'm not sure about New Braunsfels area.

The only indoor pool (it has a canvas dome over it during the winter) is at the YMCA, formerly the McKenna Club. I'm a spinning instructor at the Y, lots of triathlete types there in the mornings - pm me if you want a one day pass.
Otherwise, the Comal River is the same temperature year round.

The tri club usually meets every Monday at Hinman Island for swims. Right now we are re-arranging schedules. Got to yahoo groups and look up tritexnb on the groups. We post there alot. The YMCA is starting a Masters swimming program as well.
