the occasional shots, usually heard early in the morning or around late afternoon or evening. One month of hunting season is almost over and one more month to go.

We have more sunshine in our back yard. Those two huge live oak trees in our backyard have been cut down. Only the trunks are left standing and they will be gone soon. We want to plant pecan trees now.

Hope you all had a thankful Thanksgiving.

Our thanksgiving was nice. It was the first holiday in ten years that we didn't go over to see all of the relatives. To quiet around the house but nice not to spend a ten hour day. How was yours?
I'll bet those pecans will look beautiful in your yard, and the pie will be delicious. I used to pick pecans with my grandfather when I was young.
How's your quilting coming along? Bet you are making some awesome peices for christmas. The leaves turning must be beautiful out there right now. Went to Enchanted rock over the weekend for some climbing and thought of y'all when we passed the cave. Did they ever get the entrance finished?
Y'all stay warm, there's supposed to be a cold snap coming. See you soon!

Hi, Jeff.
We drove to Cedar Park near Austin to have Thanksgiving with family. We had a houseful there this year and it was lots of fun.

We went to the new Ikea store in Round Rock before coming back home to Comfort.
That store is huge.

Been doing lots of road riding lately. I do a night ride out of Fredericksberg with the bike shop folks on Tuesday. Doug and I try to ride on the weekends if we're not working around the house.

There was an issue of Texas Highways this past spring/summer that reported on the great road rides here in the Hill Country. Good reading.

Take care.

I'm glad you had a good t-day and family to spend it with. You both deserve a happy family.

I've been riding a lot of road lately to. I'm kind of obligated with the new bike and all. It's a pleasant diversion from riding Mac all the time.

Missed the mag issue. I would have picked that one up for sure. I've been thinking of giving Old Comfort Rd. a spin lately. I noticed that it cuts through just shy of Fredericksburg. Have you been able to try it? What do you think?

do you guys know what issue of Texas Highways?

Old Comfort Road, is that off of 87 going towards Fredericksburg?

i've also done the tues/thurs ride out in Fredericksburg. the 32 miler goes on SA road/Old Highway 9. i finally drove that the other day to see where it lead (never did that route). i still can't figure out the whole route they take for the ride. very scenic though.
