Another NEW Extra Credit(TM) trail is now complete and ready to be beaten into submission by knobby tires.

Extra Credit (EC) trails are the ones that add milage to any loop you ride, and bring you back onto the trail you left from. Other EC Trails at RHR are Frontal Lobotomy, Bottle in Front of Me, and Y-Knot.

This one will add just shy of a mile to your ride. :D

Turn onto LumberJack from Miracle Mile, cruise this downhill run and at the bottom end, just before you intersect Off The Lip, the trail leads off to the right AND . . . there's a JUMP  with a downhill transition as you enter onto the newly cut trail, Lizards winds it's way back up to Miracle Mile covering what I hope will be interesting terrain. (the jump can be rolled over, it's not a drop, just a handy pile of dirt I found)

Come ride this weekend in AIR CONDITIONED COMFORT at RHR, and look for Boomer's "lizard" (looks more like a small, life-sized dinosaur to me . . .) at the top of LJ.

Kudos go to Skid and the Blistered Fox who raked most of the new route, Crash and I laid out the trail, Boomer added the crowning touch with his metal sculpture and I hacked my way through the length of it for your riding pleasure. (actually I just did it for me, but if you like it too, that kewl!)

:coolness:

Tell us what you think of it.

Thursday I came out & rode with the way cool terrier who greeted me and did the whole loop with me! She was a blast, and patient when I made wrong turns:)
Somehow I missed Leapin Lizard (I did see the sculpture - must be at the end of trail?), but I did find Why Not and Ben's Bend. Very nice trail!!! Thanks for the new singletrack, just what every mtn biker wants for Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas,
Karl

To find it, go left at the sculpture (the old sign there indicates this direction to "Off the Lip"), then down what was Lumberjack (now a part of Lizards). At the end of the downhill it flows into the new trail.

It is still a little soft, but getting better with each set of tires that pass over it.

You can ride it backwards too, just go left a little further down Miracle Mile where it comes back out.

I have ridden with that dog, he/she belongs to the lady next door. It knows all the trails.

It isn't all that big a deal as far as 'downhills' go. It's got enough grade to get gravity working for you, but it is still pretty easy to ride up. I have plans of putting a few more technical features on there in the future to spice it up.

The jump at the end of the downhill, where the new trail begins should be fun once the line is developed. That might make some good video.
