Lake Georgetown

Can anyone tell me about the area around Lake Georgetown? Is there a bike trail suitable for a cross bike or road bike, or are the trails for MTB only?
Are there scheduled rides I might join?
If the Lake Georgetown trail is MTB only, is there a suitable road route that includes some of the parks?

This group doesn't do much organized riding for the next couple of months, but this site has some maps of rides in the G-town area.

You can also check out the Austin Cycling Association.


There is a hike-n-bike trail from San Gabriel Park to Lake G-town that's cross friendly, but you'll need fat tires for the MTB trail.
