Well, I finally got to ride in San Antonio for once. I hooked up with the SA Wheelmen out in Converse for one of their rides. I much enjoyed the ride and the company. The only drawback was that some of the country roads were pretty beat up. On Sunday I hooked up with an old friend of mine from home and we rode in Seguin. I can't say how nice it was to do some riding back in San Antonio. Look foward to doing it again next month!

0.6 left on F.M.-306
8.1 right on purgatory
14.8 left on cloptins crossing/F.M. 32 no signs here
24.4 left on cranes mill
27.9 left on f.m. 306
39.2 right on 2673
39.8 left on sattler road
40.6 left on river road
53.7 left on rock street
54 right on ramp
54.9 left on hunter road
55 left on "local roads"
voila back at Gruen
The most scenic road ride I've seen. 1300 elevation gain.

Right on! Is that something organized by a club/team? I know the area, but haven't been up there in some time. You got a map online? Eitherway, I'll copy down your directions for when I hit it up again next month.

No support is available. It's just a damned fine ride. I went of the road twice taking in the scenery. I got the map ( great map and instructions too) out of sawheelman.com through shops than brittons then hit the cyclismo logo then rides look for the "new" ride on the bottom under roadies.
