So is this where the ladies are? I need some serious estrogen for my MTB experience! :)
I don't think I've met more than 1 at my home trail- Madrone in Canyon Lake. :)
I'd love to meet and ride with some gals, since all I usually ride with is my husband who has been riding much longer than I have.
Does anyone ever ride Madrone? I have the bike to hack it, but am still learning the skills. Just started jumping- yikes!!!:D

My sister is coming down to SA to ride at OP with me today. We'll be riding later than 8 or 9... or even 10 or 11... I don't know with her. She IS a (recently graduated) college student. She's an extreme newbie... so any other timid ladies may tag along.

I'm out of town this week but will be back on 3 Mar. I've never been to Madrone. I'm usually at OP, Mac, or Government Canyon. I ride a blue titus racer X or a white Marin hardtail.

Send me a message at amomentis@sbcglobal.net cuz I'm horrid about bikemojo

Alison -
First off, I am not a female but I saw the magic word "Madrone". I am a bit of a beginner (I am sure you will feel better about your skills after leading me around) and I am wanting to do the Xterra out there in May and I have been looking for someone who knows the trail a bit to show me around. I can really only ride out there on the weekend(s) so if you are interested, please let me know.

Thanks,

Chris Adolph

"Extreme newbie" LOL! I guess that's what I would call myself too! Living in Canyon Lake is an hour drive to SA, heaven forbid you hit traffic in stone oak, but I'd like to come down to ride. We go for biz sometimes and ofcourse, we load the bikes, so maybe I'll run into one of you! :)

Adulwolf- my husband and I would love to show you the trails. It cuts through a road a couple times so atleast there is an easy way out if someone gets tires... I know I've taken that road back early to save my tired legs often! I'm a beginner too, but I've ridden with some experienced riders, so I have really cheated the learning curve. That's the best way to learn. The last fall I've taken has smashed my confidence though, so I am learning the art of control vs. adrenaline now. ouch.

As long as you are on the right track! Just takes time in the saddle and the ability to not mind having your bike make a complete fool out of you a few times in front of other people. We've all been there. Ride with someone better than you, and don't worry about being dropped. You will soon keep up and clean everything without dabbing.

Charlie and I want to make a trip to the Madrone...our last one was cut short by both mechanical and biomechanical problems :(
