I keep reading bits & pieces that MP is going to be closed for biking. Is this happening? When. Also, I'm coming in town for thanksgiving, are there any other trails I should look at besides Anthills/Hersey & MP?

Anything worth a damn near West Houston? How 'bout Woodlands & Conroe?

Thanks.

Check out GHORBA.org for more info but there are at least the following:

***Memorial Park --free-- (yes in danger but will be open Thanksgiving) WEST
***Ant Hills/Terry Hershey Park --free--(most likely still unrideable by Thanksgiving. Last I heard flood gates were open through this week keeping it under water) WEST
***Huntsville State Park --3.00-- Should be okay by Thanksgiving but has some bridge and trail damage that will neccesitate a walk around. Sandy and rooty with some longer hills than the previous two but quick. NORTH
***Double Lake park --5.00-- No issues. Non-technical. Just fast and curvy/twisty. NORTH
***CypressWood --free-- Not worth dealing with. Mostly forgotten area that gets ridden buy some folks in the surrounding hood. Not maintained. NORTH

Recommend: Memorial Park if you are in the city. If you find yourself North, go to Huntsville (yes I am partial to the course there. )
