Hello,

I used to be a regular mountain biker, but have not rode in awhile (~2 years). I have gained a lot of weight (now weigh ~309 lbs) due to various reasons and am now wanting to get back to riding. Obviously, one cannot ride being this fat, so I was hoping to find another fat ass to sit around and eat with. No, seriously, I was hoping to find someone in the same situation who would also like to get back to riding. Maybe some kind of training regiment with the end goal of getting back in the saddle.
About me:
Male, 31, lives in Cibolo and works in New Braunfels,

Thanks,
Jason

Hey its Jason here too. I just got my first bike and I would say I would be considered a super clyde. I think you can ride while being big just can't do too much crazy stuff. Let me know we can meet up and ride sometime. I am up for it...Jason

Maybe both you guys could show up at some of the group rides in addition to your solo rides. The Monday night Mission ride and the thursday night Bike World rides are no drop easy rides that are also fun. Thurs. can be the road only or the beer run (my choice). Show up, get some miles and meet some peeps.

i HIGHLY recommend the monday ride. it's a GREAT group of riders of all levels and NO DROP, ride at your pace. it is social but for those who want to go a little bit faster (more of a workout, ie me ;)), you can always sprint at certain points (but yes it's still social :)). we do stop a few times to regroup and get water. 18 miles starting from Blue Star Brewery, riding the Mission Trails. btw George is a great ride leader and keeps everyone together with the help of others such as Tim and Terri (who don't post on here). when we get back, many stick around for food and beer. cool guys and gals, friendly. people in road and mt bikes (dave!...doesn't post here but really strong).

join us!! :) :) :)

I would love to do a group ride. Monday nights just don't work for me right now at least not till after Sept. 13th. I am a volunteer firefighter and our meetings are on monday nights and we are having meeting every monday till sept. Maybe after that I can join in. I just got my bike and need to build some endurance up...Jason
