It's been talked about. May happen someday when the 26 mile system requires no maintenance. Logistics are tough; 150 direction signs to either turn around or add more to make the system bidirectional; some of the downs would become imposable ups (will have to reroute); some switch backs are too tight when descending in reverse (will have to berm); and, trying to resolve how to start a race in reverse. Years ago, when we only had the upper loop, we ran it in reverse. After we built the lower loop, we briefly rode in reverse also. We ended up having to run the present direction to make the race start lines work (need two start lines for starting expert and sport at the same time, like we did this year). Since we do trail work during the spring paydirt season. Efforts will have to be made to turn the system around for maybe 2010 or latter. We do allow the system to be ridden in reverse, makes it like a whole different trail. Hope the inquiring minds are satisfied.

As jimmy mentions below, this seems to catch wind every year that the STORM race committee gets together.

I will volunteer to help.

The racers have feet don't they? Even some of the easiest climbs end up being runs, b/c it is "racing".

This is where the money is. As soon as this can be figured out.....
