This Saturday’s 8AM (December 28th) scheduled race team training ride route out of Zube Park is “Monaville.” 65 fairly flat miles at an LSD pace.

Sunday’s (December 29th) scheduled team training ride route is Magnolia. 60 LSD miles with some hills. Ride starts at 8 AM sharp from the Magnolia Jr. High School parking lot.

The start directions for the Sunday Magnolia ride are
as follows:

From the corner of FM 249 and FM 1960 (Willowbrook
Mall) go north on 249. Magnolia is located about 20
miles northwest of the corner of 249 and 1960. Note
that at about the 15 mile mark 249 magically becomes
1774. Continue straight on 1774 (do not turn right on
FM 149). Once you arrive in Magnolia (it's not very
big) you will eventually see a junior high school on
the left with a parking lot in front of the school
buildings (that's where we'll park). If you pass the
intersection of 1774 and 1488 (in the center of
Magnolia) you have gone too far.

Mountain Bike Ride this Saturday (December 28th) at Warda (Bluff Creek Ranch) ...

The Saturday morning ride starts around 9:30 AM with a night lap or two that evening for those that will stick around and camp for the evening.

The directions to Bluff Creek Ranch (Warda) from Houston are as follows:

Go Northwest on Hwy 290 all the way into Giddings. In
Giddings, turn south on Hwy 77. As you come into
Warda, you'll see a sign for Owl Creek Road -turn left
on Owl Creek. A mile or so down the road will be a
cattle guard on your left that leads into a big
pasture. There's a mph sign on the gate post in
yellow. Turn (left) and follow the driveway through
the pasture the barn (adhere to the posted speed limit
please)!

Have fun Roadie. Maybe I can make some of these in the future.

I am going to be at Huntsville early the 28th to mark new trails and then doing spin class Sunday morning. I promided my wife that while in-laws are in town, I would only take one day to do bike stuff and be back at noon. She needs relief with host duties.
